Description

Late 19th century with later additions and alterations. 2-storey with attic, 2-bay terraced building with commercial accommodation at ground. Polished ashlar at ground; stugged ashlar with polished dressings at 1st floor. Cornice between storeys; eaves course; hoodmoulded windows at 1st floor; stop-chamfered arrises.

NW (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: stiff-leafed colonnade at ground; segmental-arched openings; large fixed-pane plate glass window to right of centre; narrow window with fanlight above to left of centre; large window to outer left; narrow window to penultimate right; panelled door to outer right with plate glass fanlight above. Tripartite window to each bay at 1st floor with segmental lintel.

SE ELEVATION: not seen fully, 1995. Full-height projection to centre.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Slate roof with platform at apex. Modern box-dormer to right. Ashlar coped mutual stacks. Moulded gutter with cast-iron brackets.
