Description

Late 19th century. 4-storey and attic, 2-bay tenemental and commercial building with shopfronts to ground floor. Sandstone ashlar, grey slate Mansard roof. Corniced ground floor, cill course and lintel band to 1st and 2nd floor, corbelled main cornice over 2nd floor, corniced wallhead course, balustraded parapet; banded pilaster dividing shopfronts and at right with paired consoles, 2-storey pilaster above, further pilaster to 3rd floor; ashlar-coped skew and corniced ridge stack with uniform cream cans to right; bi- and tripartite architraved windows with triangular and segmental pediment to 1st floor, consoled lintels to 2nd, 2-pane timber sash and case glazing, round-headed dormer to left and bipartite box dormer to right.

FRONT ELEVATION: 2 shopfronts to ground floor, original cast-iron columns to left, new glazing to right, 2 windows to each upper floor with bipartite to left and tripartite to right, 2 dormers.

INTERIOR: not seen.
