Description

St Leonard's Fountain, located in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, was designed by Robert Morham and completed in 1886. This fountain is made of pink Peterhead granite and features a large, deep octagonal panelled basin. At the center stands a bulbous column that tapers to an octagonal top, adorned with bronze lion faucets. The base course includes semi-circular drainage bowls. The fountain bears a monogram inscription along with the date of its construction. As of 2007, the basin is currently filled in.
