Description

The Victoria Fountain, located in The Square, Aberchirder, was built in 1897 and presented by W Achinachie, the Provost of Aberchirder. It is positioned on the south side of The Square and is made of polished Peterhead and grey granite. The fountain features three granite steps leading up to a cylindrical base, which has bowed basins on the east and west sides, with inscriptions on the north and south sides. Above the base, there is a carved urn surrounded by six columns supported by decorative corbels. The fountain is topped with an incised dome and a large ball finial.
