Description

Bodie Fountain, located on Crook O'Ness Street in Macduff, was built in 1910 as a memorial water fountain. It is made from polished grey and pink granite and stands on a squared granite platform. The fountain features a short, clustered column base that supports a quatrefoil plinth with taps and basins. Above this, a granite urn is set within a moulded canopy, which is supported by four colonettes. A circular frieze separates the canopy from the finialled dome above, which is decorated with foliate detailing.
