Description

Later 18th century. Substantial 3-storey warehouse with 4-bay

S elevation and 5-window rear (N to West Skene Street).

Harled rubble. Regular fenestration front and rear.

S elevation with bloked entrances in ground floor bays 2 and

3; small attic windows close to wallhead.

N elevation with centre entrance with loft floor door above;

also wide entrances in outer bays closed by modern sliding

doors; as in S elevation, loft windows close to wallhead.

Single 1st floor entrance in E gable, upper floor gable

window in E and W gables.

4-pane glazing in 1st floor windows; shutters survive in most

attic windows. Slate roof.

INTERIOR: ceilings supported by centre arcade of wooden

columns, circular in ground floor and square in 1st floor,

all with long 'wedge type' capitals.

YARD: S elevation fronted by walled yard with entrance to

Crook O'Ness Street and also to West Skene Street.

OFFICE: later 19th century, probably former 2-horse stable.

Rubble, tooled rubble dressings. Modern fenestration; single

end brick stack; slate roof.
