Description

19 Market Street is an end-terrace house, dating from the 18th century. The exterior is painted lined stucco with a slate roof and small brick end stacks. The house is three storeys high and has a three-window front. The upper floors feature renewed 12-pane sash windows. The ground floor is not aligned with the rest of the building, with plate glass windows on the left, a four-panel door with an overlight to the right of centre, and a wide four-pane horned sash window on the right. In 1974, the door was located at the right end of the building, and there was a shop doorway with double doors of two panels each, with glazed upper panels. Some original windows were reused as shop windows at that time. The left end gable, facing Hill Street, has renewed windows to the second floor right, first floor left, a door to the left, and a small window to the ground floor.

The interior has not been inspected, but in 1974 it contained some four-panel doors.
