Description
Nelson House is a terraced house dating from the 19th century, featuring painted stucco and a slate close-eaved roof with brick end stacks. It has three storeys and a three-window front, with an eaves band. The sash windows have been renewed, with 6-pane square windows on the top floor and 12-pane windows elsewhere. The left window on the top floor has a square 4-pane casement. The timber doorcase is adorned with fluted pilasters and a minimal open pediment, framing a late 19th-century door that has two long arched panels and an overlight. The reveals also feature similar arched panels, and the overlight has early 20th-century patterned leading with coloured glass. There are basement vents located under the windows, and two slate steps lead up to the door. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to be wholly altered.
