Description
This is a two-storey and attic terraced house dating from the 19th century. The house is faced with painted stucco and has a deep-eaved roof covered with imitation slate, featuring a timber eaves cornice with ogee-curved modillions, broken to accommodate a large two-storey canted bay. A brick stack is located on the left end. The front elevation has a two-window range with large renewed sashes. A large hipped dormer window is set into the roof, featuring paired plate glass sashes and glazed cheeks. The canted bay has large sash windows, four panes to the front and two panes to the sides on each floor. Panelled pilasters flank each window, with small oval rosettes on the pilaster bases; the upper floor has a moulded cornice with tiny modillions to a flat roof. On the right side of the house, there is a plate glass sash window to the first floor and another, set further to the right, to the ground floor, to the right of the doorway. Five stone steps, with two slate-topped steps, lead up to a doorway containing a panelled door consisting of four fielded panels over one large flush panel, and a thin four-pane overlight. A flat timber hood is supported by shaped horizontal brackets above the door.
The property is enclosed by cast-iron railings of the 19th century, with round rails, cast-iron moulded heads, and larger moulded finials on square rails set to stanchions. A slate coping sits on a rendered dwarf wall. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
