Description

13 Goat Street is a terraced house built with painted stucco and a slate close-eaved roof, which previously featured coarse brackets on the overhanging eaves, along with rendered end stacks. The house has three storeys and a three-window range. On the left side, there is a large three-storey canted bay with plate glass sash windows, flanked by flattened rounded pilasters. The modern eaves board may have replaced a top cornice.

The top floor has a plate glass sash window in the center and to the right, while the first floor features a longer plate glass sash window to the right. The ground floor has a plate glass sash window to the right of center, which is not aligned and was described as a doorway in 1974. The doorcase mentioned in 1974 is now located at the former secondary door on the extreme right. It consists of a plain timber doorcase with pilasters and an entablature featuring a keystone, although the moulded cornice has been cut back since 1974. The entrance has a flush-panelled six-panel door in flush-panelled reveals with an overlight. This door leads to a through passage, with a modern door to the left providing access to a ground floor front flat, and a second door leading to stairs in a large rear wing that has been added.

The interiors have not been inspected but are reported to have been entirely altered during the conversion to flats.
