Description

The War Memorial features a white marble statue of a standing soldier, with his hands clasped above a reversed rifle. The statue is mounted on a tall red granite pedestal, which has a chamfered top on the plinth and an ogee-moulded top on the main shaft. The front of the memorial commemorates 14 men who were killed during the First World War from 1914 to 1918, and there is an additional inscription on the left side.
