Description
The Church of St Padarn is a low, simple building constructed from rubble stone and topped with slate roofs, which slope down towards the chancel. It features a plain west bellcote with a 20th-century flat capping. The masonry is likely ancient, with large boulders forming the wall footings and a battered base on the west wall. The church has plain pointed windows that include stone voussoirs and timber Y-tracery, dating from the later 19th century. The north nave wall and the chancel side walls do not have any windows. There is a camber-headed west doorway, also with stone voussoirs, leading to a boarded door.
Inside, the church has a plain plastered interior with later 19th-century collar trusses supporting the roof, which have struts over the collars. The fittings are from the later 19th century, and there is 20th-century softboard in the chancel arch.
