Description
The statue of Daniel Rowland is made of white marble and stands on a high plain stone pedestal. The pedestal consists of monolithic blocks, including a step, plinth, and shaft, all featuring chamfered upper edges on the plinth and shaft. The statue depicts a nearly life-size figure of Rowland in 18th century clerical dress, with his right arm raised and his left hand holding an open prayer book. Beside him is a pedestal with a closed Bible. The pedestal bears an inscription that reads: 'Daniel Rowland, Ganwyd 1713, Bu Farw 1790', along with the verses: 'O Nefoedd! Nefoedd! Nefoedd!/ Buasai dy gonglau yn ddigon/ Gwag on i buasai fod Sion/ Yn magu plant i ti ar y ddaear'.
