Description

The War Memorial is a structure featuring a white marble soldier holding a reversed rifle. It stands on a pedestal made of red granite, which is elevated on two steps, one of cement and the other of stone. The stone step is marked with the name W Thomas from Llandovery. The pedestal has a moulded plinth and a battered main shaft that displays inscribed names from the First World War (1914-1919) on the west face, names from the Second World War (1939-1945) on the south face, and the inscription 'Adeiladwyd gan y plwyfoloion' on the north face. The memorial is topped with a moulded cornice.
