Description
The Walsoken Parish War Memorial commemorates those who died in the First and Second World Wars. It is constructed from red granite and features a statue of a soldier carrying a rifle, positioned facing forward with his body turned to one side. The statue is elevated above a tall, slightly tapered square pedestal, which has rusticated rough-hewn quoins and a top stone, along with two courses of similar stones at the base. These stones frame the panels that list the names of 118 individuals who died in the First World War. The pedestal is set on a three-stepped base, and a small tablet with the names of six individuals who died in the Second World War is placed against the top step.
