Description
Medworth is a house built around 1900, designed in the Voysey style. It features sloping buttressed walls and chimney stacks. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the first floor has a roughcast render. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and have patterned ridge tiles that end with two dragon figures at the hips of the main range. The house has five tall stacks with original chimney pots and is two storeys high, with a wing on the right side.
The deep boarded eaves are supported by large patterned iron brackets, and the gable bargeboards add to the decorative elements. A canted oriel window on carved wooden brackets is located on the first floor of the wing, with a segmental planned bay window on the ground floor below it. All windows are fitted with pegged wooden frames. To the left of the main entrance, there is a large first-floor window in a two-storey projection, topped by a tall iron weathervane, and a mullioned and transomed window set in a segmental arch. The entrance itself is plain, featuring a half-glazed door.
