Description
Austin House is a house built in 1841. It features a facade of gault brick, with the returns also in gault brick, while the rear is rendered. The house has slate roofs and a double pile plan. It stands two storeys high and consists of three bays. There are two central brick pilasters and end clasping pilasters, all with reduced capitals. The entrance has a central panelled door beneath a fanlight. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set under gauged skewback arches. The house also has a timber eaves cornice and double hipped roofs. The interior has been renewed and is largely from the 20th century.
