Description

The entrance gates to Castle Green House are formal features consisting of four large panelled blue lias stone piers. These piers are corniced and topped with stepped caps and cast-iron urns. They are positioned at the corners of a square and are connected on each side by semi-circular dwarf walls that have spearhead railings. The outer gatepiers support wrought iron paired gates, which may have been relocated, as they are hung on additional stuccoed inner piers. The inner gatepiers consist only of posts for wrought iron gates.
