Description
The gatepiers and gates form part of the forecourt at Trawsgoed House. The pair of cast-iron gates are set between a pair of rubble stone piers which have stepped caps and tall ashlar urn finials, flanked by low rubble walls that ramp up to the piers. Each gate has a band of circles at the foot and at the level of the lock, with narrow ovals below the lock rail and spearhead rails above, featuring opposed curves between the lock rail and top rail. The urns on the piers are turned and topped with ball finials.
