Description

26 Quay Street is a house constructed from rubble stone banded in blue lias stone, featuring an imitation slate roof and modern brick stacks at each end. The building has three storeys and a two-window arrangement of sash windows, with slate sills. The second floor has 6-pane windows, while the first floor has 12-pane windows. The right window on the second floor has been replaced with a plate glass sash. On the ground floor, there is a door to the left and a modern shop window to the right, which covers a blocked basement light. The east end wall also has matching modern shop windows. The window frames on the main front show distortion due to subsidence. This house was built continuously with Nos 24 and 25.
