Description
The gatepiers, gates, and boundary walls at the entrance to the main drive of Penllyn Castle are made of freestone and date from the 19th century. The square piers feature a crenellated cornice and pyramidal caps with finials, which are similar to those found on the gables of Lodge Cottage. The piers have blank coats of arms and are accompanied by low iron gates. The boundary walls curve outwards and ramp down to either side. To the left, the walls continue along the frontage of the churchyard and include a gated entry with square gate piers that have cross-gabled caps. To the right, the walls front Lodge Cottage and end at another gate pier at the edge of the road junction.
