Description

Narrow, single-arch rubble bridge carrying the road over the Fothau at a skewed angle; segmental-arch is slightly recessed on both sides and has voussoirs. Pitched coping to parapet, which curves back at W end on downstream side and at E end continues slightly further on upstream side. Under the bridge, the stream flows over the original ford stones. The shaped stones of somewhat uniform size are laid the full width of the bridge in a shallow V profile so that the stream runs in the centre.
