Description

R J Evans Family Butcher is a Georgian building that stands two stories high with an attic. It features scribed stucco elevations and has two windows facing South Road, one window on the splayed corner, and three windows along Bridge Street. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and it has wide bracket eaves along with cement render brick chimney stacks.

The building has paired casement windows in the slate-hung dormer, 12-pane sash windows on the first floor, and one similar window on the ground floor facing South Road, all with architraves and bracket cills. The plain shop front wraps around the splayed corner, covering most of the ground floor and includes some alterations. There are entrances at either end and on the corner, featuring panelled and half-glazed doors. The rear elevation is similar, standing three stories high with three windows.
