Description
49 Bridge Street is a late Georgian building with Victorian alterations. It has three stories and an attic, featuring a two-window front with scribed render. The windows are more broadly spaced at No 45, while Nos 47 and 49 are reflected pairs with a cill band. The building has slate roofs, bracket eaves, and a rubble chimney stack. The dormers are slate hung, with a pitched roof for No 45 and cambered roofs for Nos 47 and 49. The windows are mainly horned sash types without glazing bars, and there are three-storey splayed bay windows for each property, complete with bracket cornices and panelled aprons. The right-hand windows of No 45 and the central windows of Nos 47 and 49 have architraves, while the second floor is blind. There is a Doric paired doorcase for Nos 47 and 49, featuring a dentil cornice and panelled reveals, and a Victorian doorcase for No 45, which includes half-glazed and panelled doors.
