Description

Rosemary is a late Georgian pair of buildings with alterations from the Victorian period. The buildings are three storeys high with an attic, and have rendered and stucco frontages with a band along the window sills and a channelled appearance to the ground floor. A vertical pilaster strip divides the two properties. The roofs are slate, with brick chimney stacks and dormers that have slate coverings, decorative bargeboards, and paired sash windows. Three-storey bay windows are set at an angle and feature cornices and panelled aprons on the right side of each front. The windows on the left have projecting architraves. The sash windows of number 47 have horns and small panes of glass, while number 49 also has horned sash windows. There are Doric porches with fluted columns; number 49 has a decorative frieze to its entablature. The porches have panelled reveals and half-glazed doors. The side and rear of the buildings are finished with cement render and have sash windows.
