Description
The Agricultural Range at Castellmoch-fawr is a large lofted building dating from around the 19th century. It consists of approximately seven bays, running north to south and facing west. The structure features a central rear wing and an additional monopitch shed that fills the northeast corner between the main range and the rear wing. The building is constructed from quasi-rubble slate stonework, with timber-framing that is clad in vertical boarding on the gables to the north and east, above eaves level. The roof is made of slate, generally laid in small courses, with some areas patched in more regular slating, and has a tile ridge.
On the front elevation, there is one small timber dormer, three doors, and four windows that alternate with the doors. The loft has gable hatches on the south and east sides. The rear wing includes a door and side slit ventilators, while the monopitch extension features a door, a window, and a side hatch.
