Description
Brynaber farmhouse is a 1½-storey building featuring three windows, constructed from uncoursed slate quasi-rubble masonry. It has a restored slate roof with a tile ridge and stone end chimneys, one of which is projecting with a rendered stack. There is a large central rear wing made from similar materials, but it has an off-centre brick end-chimney stack.
The front elevation has three nearly symmetrical openings that are grouped slightly to the left. The door and window surrounds are made of yellow brickwork that is block-bonded to the masonry, featuring segmental arches. The dormer windows also have brick dressings below the eaves. Both the dormers and lower windows are horizontally sliding sash types with small panes. The central door is boarded and has a simple weather hood.
In the rear wing, there are two upper windows and one side window, all of which are horizontally sliding sashes with four panes each. There is a larger altered window below on the rear elevation, along with a side door. All these openings are also brick dressed. The interior has not been seen.
