Description

This is a four-bay shed range, likely dating to the 18th or 19th century, forming part of Brynaber farmyard. The shed is constructed of local slatey quasi-rubble masonry, with a low-pitch roof covered in small, random slates and a tile ridge. The front elevation, facing the farmyard, features lower openings which have been enlarged and fitted with rolled steel joist lintels and ¾-height boarded doors. Above each of the main doors is a square loft hatch. A small opening is present at the rear, and a blocked loft opening – formerly a door – is found in the left-hand gable. The shed range is linked to the barn range by the north wall of the yard, alongside later monopitch brick sheds.
