Description

This building is a shelter shed range with an attached privy, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some alterations. The rear wall is constructed of red brick in English bond with galleting, while the returns are made of galleted rubblestone with brick quoins, and the south-west corner has been rebuilt. The front of the shed is partly open and partly features replacement vertical boarding and corrugated iron, topped with a hipped plain tile roof.

The long single-storey range forms the north-east side of a farmyard. The yard elevation includes knobbed rustic wooden posts. Originally, the range was open at the center with weatherboarding at the ends; it now has boarding at the left end and corrugated iron at the right end. There are 20th-century board doors, some with reused strap hinges, and 20th-century wood-framed windows. The rear wall has a plinth.

Attached to the right end is a weatherboard privy, which features a strap-hinged board door with vent holes and a wooden latch, along with a corrugated iron roof and a wooden seat inside. Inside the shed range, mortices in the soffits of the front wall plate and tie-beams indicate where former boarded walls were located. The tie-beams are fixed to the rear wall with iron straps, and some timbers have been reused. The roof consists of collared principal rafter trusses with through purlins, a plank ridge piece on yokes, and yokes and collars that are nailed in place.
