Description
The Old Barn at Brynaber farmyard is a four-bay structure built with local slatey quasi-rubble masonry and features a low-pitch roof covered with small random slates and a tile ridge.
Facing the farmyard, the main barn doorway has been raised to eaves level. In the right bay, there is a cartshed opening with double boarded doors and an elliptical red-brick arch made of common bricks. Above this, to the right of the barn door, are two loft hatches, while two openings to the left have been blocked. There are steps against the right gable leading up to the loft door, which is boarded and topped with a brick segmental arch.
This barn range is connected to the sheds range by the north wall of the yard, which has later monopitch brick sheds built against it.
