Former Stable Range at Glandwr

The Former Stable Range at Glandwr is a 19th-century building that features a main range aligned north-south. It consists of three bays, is lofted, and constructed from large blocks of rubble stone, topped with renewed slate roofs. The central gable is advanced and includes a wide doorway with a heavy stone lintel, along with a loft door above that has a date inscribed on the ashlar lintel. There is also a full-height cart entry in the right-hand bay, which has a heavy lintel.

To the east-west, there is a lower wing that accommodates the sloping site. A straight-joint indicates where this wing connects to the main range, and it is built from smaller-scale rubble. This wing is two-storeys high and lofted, featuring a cart entry to the right with a heavy stone lintel, and a window (previously recorded as a doorway) with a dormer gable above. The dormer has a window with a stone lintel. Attached to the rear corner of this wing is a small, square apple store that is two-storeyed. An external staircase leads to the first-floor chamber against the gable of the wing, and there is a doorway to the ground floor on the east elevation.
