Description

Glan-y-mor-isaf is a 2-storey, L-plan building dating from 1846, with a lower wing attached to the north gable end of the east range. The structure is constructed of roughly coursed rubblestone, featuring partial slate hanging on the first floor of both main ranges, and has slate roofs that are slightly stepped at the center of the east range. The roofs have overhanging verges and carved purlins on both main ranges, with slate coping on the lower wing.

There are entrances in both main ranges. The south range features a 6-panel door set in a gabled stone porch, which includes a datestone marked "1846." There is another 6-panel door on the right side of the east range, with both doors having glazed top panels. The east range has two gabled dormers that break the eaves: the left dormer contains a 4-paned sash window, while the right dormer has a 2-light, 12-paned casement divided by a mullion. The right dormer is positioned above the door, and the left dormer is above a 4-paned sash window. The south range has similar window arrangements.

A ridge stack at the center of the east range features tall paired and rebated brick shafts with stepped capping, while the lower wing has a window at the front and an integral end stack with a stone base and brick shaft. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
