Description
Nos 3 and 4 Tan-yr-allt Cottages are a pair of symmetrical single-storey cottages, each with two rooms and lofts, built in the vernacular revival style favored by the Penrhyn Estate. They are made of coursed rubblestone, featuring voussoirs above slightly cambered windows and doors on the front elevation, while the gable ends are rendered. The cottages have a slate roof and a central entrance for each, flanked by two- and three-light windows with 12 and 18 panes, respectively, all with slate cills. Both cottages have 20th-century half-glazed doors and integral end stacks, along with a shared ridge stack in the center, all rendered and topped with stepped capping. There is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension at the back that extends beyond the gable end of each cottage. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
