Tai'r-meibion

Tai'r-meibion is a 2-storey farmhouse featuring a slightly projecting gabled range to the left at the front, which continues to the rear, and another gabled range at right angles to the rear of the main range. This farmhouse is designed in the mild Gothic style, commonly used by the Penrhyn Estate for its buildings in the late 19th century. The sides and rear are constructed of irregularly coursed rubblestone, while the front is snecked; it has a chamfered plinth and slate roofs with overhanging verges and carved purlin ends.

The front gable includes a 2-light mullioned and transomed window on the first floor and a 3-light window on the ground floor, both featuring glazing bars and voussoirs above the wedge lintels. The main range has an asymmetrically gabled porch at the angle with the gabled range, which features a steep Tudor arch and a recessed 4-panel door (with the top panels glazed) of the same shape. To the right of the porch is a mullioned and transomed window, along with a 2-light 12-paned casement in a gabled dormer directly above, and immediately above the porch is a raking dormer.

The gabled range has a prominent ridge stack with a stone base and four rebated brick shafts topped with stepped stone capping and chimneypots; there is an identical stack on the ridge of the rear gabled range near its junction with the main range. The left return of the gabled range features a lean-to open porch supported by timber posts and a 6-panel door (three over three), with windows directly above and to the left. There is a low range of attached outbuildings surrounding a small courtyard at the rear. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
