Description
Llysdinam Lodge is a building constructed in the 19th century, featuring a main range oriented north-south with an advanced gable on the east front that is offset to the left, along with a rear wing. The structure is made of snecked rock-faced stone and has steeply pitched roofs covered in slate, adorned with fleur-de-lis ridge tiles. There are two stone stacks at the rear, including an eaves stack and a larger stack situated between the main range and the rear wing.
The entrance is located to the left of center in the advanced gable, featuring a planked door beneath a hipped slate-covered porch canopy supported by arched brackets. On the upper storey, offset to the right, there is a narrow light with four vertical panes set under a large stone lintel. The ground floor has similar windows on each side of the advanced bay. To the right of the advanced gable, there is a canted bay window with a hipped roof, and each face of this bay has a multi-pane cross-window.
The south gable end also features a canted bay window that contains two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, along with a two-light multipane casement above it, all set beneath a large stone lintel. The north gable end has similar casements on each storey. The rear wing has been altered and is roughcast under a shallow slate roof, featuring a wide 20th-century window on each storey at the gable end. There is a shallow lean-to on the left with a glazed opening and a narrow window on its north side. Above the lean-to, offset to the right, is a small window, likely a stairlight.
At the time of inspection, there was no access to the interior.
