Distyll

Distyll is a large two-storey building featuring a three-window range, constructed from roughly squared and coursed stone beneath a slate roof. It has a brick ridge stack and a brick end stack on the right side. The windows are primarily two-light small-pane wooden casements, each set under segmental heads made of stone voussoirs. On the far left, there is a 20th-century gabled stone porch with a modern door that sits beneath a wide voussoired head. Between the second and third windows from the left, there is a wide segmental-arched vehicular doorway that has been blocked with stone, and a later doorway has been inserted, which is also blocked with stone.

The rear of the building, which is partially visible, is set into the hillside and features casements similar to those at the front. To the left of the center, there is a wide segmental-arched opening with recessed stonework, flanked by two casement windows on its right side, while the left side is not visible. The upper storey has four windows that are asymmetrically arranged. There is a lower bay adjoining the north gable end, which is one-and-a-half storeys tall and includes a casement window and a gabled dormer at the front; the rear features a gabled half-dormer. Attached to the south gable end is a conservatory made of stone on the ground floor and wooden glazing on the upper floor, with the ground floor containing a casement window. The interior has not been seen.
