Description
The Old Alms Cottages is a single-storey building with a half-hipped roof at the northern end. It is rendered over stone and topped with a slate roof, featuring four rendered chimney stacks with offsets. The building has large wooden windows from the mid to late 20th century, which include diamond glazing, casements, and top-hung lights. There is a small gable at the center of the west side, which originally served as the main entrance. This entrance features a raised segmental pediment that encloses carved foliage and a date. There are additional entrances on either side, each with shallow catslide lean-to porches, though the original doors have been replaced with windows. A large window is present on the northern gable end. The rear of the building has not been seen.
