Description
Lion Cottage is a 2-storey building made of coursed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring a stone stack on the right side. The windows are primarily 9-pane horned sashes, set under stone lintels on the lower level and at the eaves above. The Golden Lion Inn, which is a 3-window structure, is located on the left (downhill) side. Its front is partly made of random rubble, has larger quoins on the left side, and is painted white on the upper storey. The inn features central panelled doors with a 2-pane overlight above.
To the right of the centre, the former shop has double-panelled doors under a small-pane overlight, flanked by large small-pane windows, all beneath a blank fascia. The wall above the windows is rendered, except for a central sash window. Lion Cottage, situated on the right side, has an entrance on the left with a panelled door under a small-pane overlight, and a sash window to the right. There is a similar sash window above the entrance on the upper storey. The property has not been inspected.
