Description
The Garthangharad public house is a 2-storey building constructed of whitened rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring stone stacks at the left end and right of center. The structure is divided into two units, with the left unit originally serving as the public house and having three windows, while the right unit has two windows. The left unit features a central half-glazed door, while the right unit has a similar door on the left side, aligned with the stack. The windows are 4-pane horned sashes; in the lower storey, they sit under lintels, except for the right-hand window, which has a segmental-brick head. In the upper storey, the windows are set under gables with finials. Above the central window of the left unit is a re-painted tablet inscribed 'EO 1840', and above the left-hand window in the right unit is another re-painted tablet inscribed 'EO 1736'.
At the rear, the right side features a 2-storey projection made of whitened brick, while the left side has a 2-storey roughcast range that was added in the 1930s.
