Description
The U-plan outbuilding range located to the west of Cwm Farmhouse dates from the 18th century or earlier 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with squared quoins, timber lintels, and iron roofs. The barn forms the southern returned range and retains part of its original square-panel timber wall-framing. There is a large opening facing the yard and pitching doors at the gable end.
The cowhouse makes up the northern returned range and features three boarded doors at the gable end, with three levels of narrow vents above. Notably, there are unusual triangular vents on four levels on the northern gable wall of the middle range, which is open fronted to the yard.
