Description
Castle Farmhouse is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high. To the north, there is a lower range that was originally a hackney stable but has since been converted into domestic accommodation. At the rear, there is an 18th-century wing featuring a catslide roof, along with a taller gabled wing from the 19th century. The structure is made of rubble stone, which has been overpainted, and has a slate roof with two end stacks. The central entrance features a modern glazed door, and there is a five-window range with all sixteen-pane sashes that have been renewed under timber lintels. The rear of the building has metal framed windows.
The farmhouse has undergone significant modernization. Inside, there is an 18th-century staircase that includes a beaded square newel and ogee string moulding. The property also includes a cellar and attics.
