Description

The outbuilding ranges at Bath House Farm are 19th-century farm buildings constructed from rubble stone with slate roofs, forming an L-plan and single storey. The main feature is a steep-roofed cow-house that has a cross-gabled design, which is an unusual type for West Wales. The rear wall of the cow-house includes windows with brick cambered heads and a gable recess that may have once held a plaque. The gable wall is flush with low ranges on either side. The northern range, which is of earlier construction, has a brick-headed window, a door, another window, a ridge stack, and a similar window, door, and window beyond, although the doors are now blocked. The southern range of the cow-house is also L-plan with a hipped roof at an angle. Its rear wall features a door and window with cambered brick heads that match those of the cow-house, while the south return wall is obscured.

In the courtyard, starting from the north, there is a low earlier range that has two doors to the left of the stack, followed by a door, a 20th-century full-height opening to the right, and a small gabled outbuilding situated at the angle of the cow-house. The cow-house projects into the yard, showcasing a steep gable with a ground floor door and window, both featuring cambered brick heads. Inside, the roof has four bays supported by fishbone trusses. To the right, the L-plan southern range has one blocked opening before the angle, followed by a window and two doors leading to a taller small granary. This granary has outside steps leading to an eaves-breaking gabled loft door and a ground floor cart-entry with a cambered-brick arch.
