Description
The Church of St David was rebuilt on an ancient site by architects Pritchard and Seddon between 1857 and 1860. It features a small nave, chancel, south porch, and a louvred bellcote topped with a pyramid roof. The church is constructed of rubble stone and has clasping diagonal set buttresses, with an artificial slate roof. The south wall of the nave is notable for its unusual two-light windows designed in the 14th century bar tracery style, complete with cusped heads and glazed lunettes.
The churchyard is very small, containing numerous tombstones and yew trees, including an inscribed grave slab from 1691 located by the southeast corner of the porch.
Inside, there is a fireplace in the north wall, a flagstone floor, and a tall pointed chancel arch. The ceiling is boarded, and there is re-used dado panelling. The turned communion rails are dated 1712, and there is an octagonal font along with two simple 17th-century wooden benches that feature scribed mouldings.
