Description

The driveway bridge over the Afon Miwl, built in 1818, is a cast iron structure featuring four rings of cast iron, each made up of two sections that are bolted together at the center. The bridge has open ring spandrels and abutment frames that rest on stone abutments. The deck consists of timber boards supported by iron and steel joists placed longitudinally on either side, with finely detailed cast iron railings protecting the edges. At the time of inspection in January 1996, the bridge was noted to be in poor condition.
