Description
Dolforgan Lodge (East) is a lodge, likely dating to the 18th century, constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. The central bay projects forward, sheltering the entrance, and is topped with a gable. The entrance itself is now a blind opening, set within a brick surround decorated with a planted bead forming a 'Y'-traceried two-light pattern. Above the door is a multi-paned window with a pointed head and painted intersecting glazing bars. Further windows, originally located on either side of the entrance, have been replaced with plastic units but retain simulated blind window heads featuring intersecting tracery, set within raised brick frames. A rear extension has been added to the lodge, resulting in alterations to the roof.
