Description
The lych gate to the churchyard of the Church of St Michael and All Angels is a Grade II listed structure built with heavy oak framing. It is positioned on high red sandstone ashlar sill walls on either side of the south entrance to the churchyard. The gate features a hipped slate roof, with open triangular spandrels on each side. The timbers that support the roof are reinforced by heavy curved members that are set into the wall plates. A central cross tie bears the inscription "I MEWN HEDDWCH HEFYD Y GORWEDDAF AC YR HUNA," while another inscription in English is located on the inner face, although it is not clearly visible.
