Description
Cefn Cyfrifol is a 3-unit farmhouse that is single-storey with an attic, topped by a steeply pitched roof. It is built from shaley rubble stone, with some traces of limewash, and features a slate roof with stone stacks at both ends. The south gable end has large limestone blocks, including quoins. The entrance is slightly offset to the right of centre and features an open gabled brick porch with decorative barge boards. Inside the porch is a half-glazed panelled door, although the glazing has been boarded over. To the left of the porch, there is a former doorway that has been blocked with stone.
The windows have segmental brick heads, with those on the front infilled with corrugated iron sheeting. There are two windows on the lower storey, positioned to the left and right of the entrance. The attic features three gabled dormers with slate-hung sides and boarded gables. On the north gable end, there is a window offset to the right in the upper storey, which contains a 2-light small-pane wooden casement with opening stays, although the glazing is missing. The south gable end has no openings.
At the rear, there is a service block that is one-and-a-half-storeys tall and constructed of rubble stone under a slate roof, featuring a stone stack on the left and a slate-hung gable on the right, above where it meets the main range. The entrance faces south and has a boarded door under a segmental brick head, positioned to the right of centre. The rear of the building has not been seen. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
