Description
Upper Rowley Farmhouse is a two-storey building with an attic, featuring a partly coursed rubble front that projects slightly on the right and includes a plinth course. The roof is slate, raised, with a catslide at the rear and stone stacks at each end.
The farmhouse has four windows, which consist of two- and three-light casements. Most openings have vertical blocks, with some featuring small-pane glazing and others leaded lights. There is a boarded door located in the right section, where a former door opening is now central, and a timber lean-to porch leads to this boarded door on the side.
Inside, the attic contains remains of the original roof truss, including part of a collar beam. The north end of the house retains boarded doors, chimney lintels, and parts of the stud partitions. The south end features late Georgian panelled doors, a simple handrail on the stairs, and stop-chamfered beams, among other details.
