Description
Dol Twymyn is a two-storey farmhouse, likely originally designed as a two-unit structure. It is built from rubble stone, with remnants of lime-wash, and features a renewed slate roof. There is a stone stack at the left end and a lateral stone stack that projects on the right. The left end has large stone quoins. An additional bay, which is slightly set back and has higher eaves, was added to the right end at a later date. The entrance is located immediately to the left of the chimney projection and includes an open lean-to porch that leads to a half-glazed panelled door. The chimney projection has two narrow 20th-century lights, likely flanking the fireplace. To the left of the porch, there is a large inserted metal-framed window with a concrete lintel, probably from the mid-20th century. The upper storey features two 4-pane sash windows, and there are no openings on the east gable end. In front of the added right unit, there is a part-glazed mid-20th-century lean-to, with a 4-pane sash window in the upper storey. The west gable end has a small 20th-century window. The rear of the building was not seen during the inspection, and there was no access to the interior at that time.
