Description
Hendre is a terrace of 2-storey cottages built from large blocks of coursed undressed stone and topped with slate roofs. Each cottage features brick end stacks and is mostly roughcast, except for the right end. Bryn Hyfryd and Arfryn are symmetrical cottages with three windows and central doorways, while Hendre has two windows and a doorway on the right side. The cottages mainly have 16-pane hornless sash windows with slate sills, and the lower storey openings have slate lintels, with timber lintels beneath the eaves. Additional cottages are attached to the left and right ends, but the rear is not visible.
Hendre is separated from Arfyn by a butt joint but shares the same roofline. It has a half-lit panelled door with a plain overlight on the right and a 16-pane hornless sash window on the left, with similar windows aligned above. Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
